WHAT WE DO
MEET THE TEAM
Childhood best friends Stern & Stein bonded over their love of television. And that love translates directly into their enormous passion for their work. Having worked on all aspects of unscripted television between them, the duo brings a unique & diverse perspective to the creation process.
As for the company name...well, in their favorite movie Billy Madison, Billy says, “I drew the duck blue because I’ve never seen a blue duck before & to be honest with ya...I wanted to see a blue duck.” Much like Billy...Mike & Eric think outside of the box and color outside of the lines.
Eric is an encyclopedia of reality TV history, having literally authored the Fox Reality Channel’s The Encyclopedia of Reality Television (as well as serving as a producer & on-air expert for the cable channel). Eric uses this nerdy knowledge as a format creator, executive producer, writer, consultant, and genre expert for the biggest television podcasts. Ridiculous past experiences include writing & producing for World Wrestling Entertainment, talent management of A-list actors, and actually performing one of the biggest twists in reality TV history himself (serving as America’s Player on CBS’ Big Brother).
Mike is a veteran editor & post producer with over 15 years of network, cable, & commercial experience under his belt. He brings an invaluable amount of unscripted production experience to the table. Past credits include shaping the format while editing the pilot of Chopped, as well as having edited countless episodes of Wife Swap, Tim Gunn’s Guide To Style, and every iteration of the 16 & Pregnant / Teen Mom franchise for MTV. Mike has also served as the in-house development editor for several major production companies.
